Garapa Decking is an attractive hardwood and is perfect for outdoor living areas, Garapa Decking exhibits lots of character striping and color variation and will turn a soft silver color if left natural. If you want to retain the color then it is best to seal it, once you finish it it will be good to go for many years to come.
Garapa Decking (Apuleia Leiocarpa) supplied by Cape Lumber Marketing is native to Brazil and is a tough, dense wood with a soft looking satiny grain. Coming from FSC certified forests there is no concern about sustainability, our suppliers have procurement specialists in South America who inspect the shipments before exporting. They also have warehouses carrying stock in Brazil to ensure continuity of supply.
Garapa decking is available – E4ES4S ( eased 4 edges,sized 4 sides)19 x 90mm and 19 x 140mm in lengths from 1.25m to 6.1m in 300mm increments.
Cape Lumber Marketing also supply Garapa in 19 x 40mm par strips for screens and structural sizes are available in 38mm, 50mm, 76mm and 100mm thickness’s and widths from 100mm upto and including 228mm. These are all machined and PAR (planed all round) to standard dimensions.
