Description

Cape Lumber Marketing supply Isoboard, a rigid high density thermal insulating board extruded from polystyrene. Manufactured in various thickness’s and lengths to meet any building thermal insulation requirement in temperatures ranging from -30 C to + 60 C. It is the most versatile thermal insulation board available to the building industry, suitable for ceilings, walls and floors for new builds and the upgrading of existing buildings for comfort levels and energy efficiency.

IsoBoard is suitable for ceilings and can be installed under an existing ceiling, between trusses and rafters or over trusses and rafters as well as inverted roofs and under soffit applications. Ceiling applications retard the inflow of heat through the roof in summer and contain any warmth generated in the home during winter. When used for wall cavity insulation, the transfer of heat from the exterior wall is prevented and any condensation penetrating through to the inner wall is stopped. Insulated floors without any underfloor heating are generally 4 – 5 degrees C. warmer than an uninsulated floor. When installing an electric heating system, install below the screed and a solar water heating system below the floor slab.

IsoBoard comes in lengths from 1.8m to 8.0m and widths are 600mm. Thickness’s available are 30mm, 40mm, 50mm and thicker boards upto and including 80mm are made to order.
